An Insightful Comparison of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic through Trip Advisor Reviews
In this project, I present my data analysis comparing two prominent UK airline companies: British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Through this study, I analyzed 11,625 customer reviews that I scraped (using Octoparse) from TripAdvisor, covering six years, to gain insights into the reputation and customer experiences of these airlines. The primary focus was on understanding customer preference between the two companies and understanding the needs of passengers based on the class of flight, including business class, economy, and first class.
Understanding the significance of customer satisfaction in the airline industry, I embarked on this project to provide valuable information for industry professionals and travelers alike. By leveraging the vast collection of review data available on TripAdvisor, I extracted valuable insights that shed light on customer perceptions of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
The analysis explores customer reviews based on Check-in & Boarding, Cleanliness, Customer service, Food & Beverage, inflight entertainment, and Leg room. By segmenting the reviews based on flight class, we gain a deeper understanding of the variations in customer experiences across these categories.
I present the findings of my analysis using below dashboards, which provide an objective and data-driven perspective on the performance of both airlines, based on real customer feedback.
